Outdoor Classroom Day – 21st May 2020

Outdoor Classroom Day is a fantastic global event that encourages teachers, parents and carers to take their lessons and teaching outside – to promote outdoor learning.  It takes place in May and November every year.

Activities and lessons happening outside help to inform children about much of their local wildlife, animals and the importance and significance of nature in general.

The day is meant to not only encourage outdoor learning, but also show the benefits it has on a child’s development and education

Spending time outdoors is proven to improve health and encourages engagement and participation in children’s learning. It also leads to greater interest and connection with nature, and teaches important life skills such as creativity, teamwork and curiosity. It’s also fun!
